I had the opportunity to create a concept that proposed a new version of Y! Maps with a simplified UI that focus the attention of the user on the map. I achieved this by removing the left rail and adding a single input box to search the map. Additionally, I updated the visual style and added new features, like the ability to overlay information (ex. events, garage sales, weather, etc) on top of the map. This hack helped start the conversation of what should be the future of Y! Maps.
