One of my first big projects was the New UI for Maps. This project started as a hack where we solved most of the issues with the current UI and we develop new ideas for Maps. Our priorities were flexibility, ease of use, innovation and to create a product that could be easily distributed and expanded. This hack helped start the conversation of what should be the future of Maps.
